We visited in March and were pleased overall. The house and its guest apartments are pleasant, with a lovely garden and a beautiful view. It’s convenient if you have a car, and the local heating worked well. Getting the keys was well organized, even with our late arrival. The place was clean when we arrived and has a kitchen. Cleaning and towel changes happen every 7 days. The bed covers are sheets, while I personally prefer an envelope style. Greetings and best wishes to the kind hosts.

We had a wonderful week at the Poggiolino Residence and would happily come back. The apartment was spacious and well equipped, and Simonetta was great, helping us with everything and sharing useful tips. The village has a few restaurants, and we enjoyed the food at all of them. On Wednesday the residence hosted a pizza evening with food and drinks. The atmosphere was really familiar and it was a fun way to meet the other guests. Thank you for the stay at the Residence il Poggiolino! :)

This is one of my favourite places in Italy. The family are so welcoming, and the surroundings, rooms and pool are all lovely. Don’t miss pizza night if you want to try real Italian pizza! I’ve been here twice, and it’s the third visit for my old folks. 👌

Simonetta and the Paolieri family were fantastic hosts, and we’ll definitely return. We stayed at the Poggiolino residence for two weeks with the family. The buildings have been modernized and refurbished, while keeping the rustic, classic character of old homes. This year, the residence offered free wood-fired pizza every Wednesday. It’s a true gem on the outskirts of Florence, next to Barberino and the Mugello racing track.

Wednesday pizza nights and the pool with its awesome view made our stay at il Poggiolino. Some lovely cities are within an hour’s drive, and the supermarket is about 15 minutes away by car.
