Primavera

I was in Barberino Val d'Elsa for five days for a wedding, and Hotel Primavera made a lovely little place to unwind. The owners were so welcoming and helpful, even though I don't speak much Italian. The room was great, the breakfast and atmosphere were lovely, and the price was affordable. Fino alla prossima volta!

A nice hotel.

It looks beautiful outside and the location is great. The rooms were fairly clean, but the towels were thinner than the bedsheets and weren't replaced for three days. The shower gel came in a tiny single-use packet with no refill. Since the shower curtain was too short, we left a towel on the floor, and later found it put back with the clean ones. Breakfast felt like the owner was being stingy. No bread or eggs, just two slices of cheese per person and, if you were lucky, a slice of salami. There were lots of cheap sweets instead, and the owner kept checking what everyone put on their plates. There's only one toaster, so people had to queue. The whole place gave us that impression of penny pinching.
