Old Town Home Trastevere

Felt clean and safe the whole time, 10/10 🤩🤩

Those nighttime views were lovely, and we enjoyed wandering around at random.

We loved being in Trastevere, with its restaurants, traditional places to eat, and plenty going on. It made it easy to explore Rome and enjoy the local atmosphere. The room had an elegant, minimalist look and was still really comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, genuinely 10/10, and the roomy shower was so relaxing after a day out. Alessio made us a great aperitivo, too. My wife and I had a wonderful stay, and we'd happily come back. A big hug to the legendary Alessio!

We booked three nights, but left at 16h the following day because of the problems in the room. We had to urgently book two nights somewhere else so we could continue our trip in acceptable conditions. After asking the property for a goodwill gesture, we followed up three times and never got a response. The room was much colder than we could manage because the heating wouldn't work, even after several attempts to adjust it. We kept our daytime clothes, including sweaters, on to try to warm up. Outside traffic came through constantly, even with earplugs, and a neighbor's alarm woke us at 7h. The mattress was extremely hard, which made sleeping especially uncomfortable since I am pregnant and have back problems. The ventilation also made a steady noise that kept us from falling asleep. The curtains over the headboard didn't block all the light, and no other way to make the room fully dark was offered. On top of that, the room didn't look like the photos on Booking. I'll let you compare what we paid for with what we got.
