The owner was kind but discreet, and we felt at home with my family in Marcialla. Our rooms were comfortable and clean, with wonderful views across the Chianti valley. It was an ideal base for taking in Tuscany's natural beauty.
I loved the view from our room over the vineyards at Casa Bice. The stay felt like a weekend in the real Chianti, and Riccardo was welcoming and helped us figure out what to visit around Marcialla. I can't wait to come back.
The owner furnished the two rooms with ethnic objects brought back from his travels, and both look out over Chianti. The place is near Certaldo and San Gimignano, with Siena and Florence also between the two.
The owner was friendly and available whenever I needed something, including suggestions for places to see. My apartment was clean, thoughtfully furnished, and had everything I needed. The setting was peaceful and just right. I had an excellent stay.
The owner is easygoing and always ready to help, which fits the informal atmosphere. It's also a great base for visiting Florence and Siena.
