The wine tasting and the tour through the winery and vineyards were a real highlight. Doreen was incredibly friendly and hospitable, the best we’ve experienced. We stayed in a well equipped, high standard apartment with air conditioning, and the whole place has so much to offer: several parcels and villas with apartments, a swimming pool, winery, vineyards, olive groves, and a stunning view of San Gimignano. It was one of my best holiday spots ever. There are new projects underway, including the castle renovation, so I think it’ll be even better in a few years.

Doreen is wonderful, and you can tell she and her brother run the place with real care and enthusiasm. The wines they produce are great too. Our apartment was roomy, comfortable, and had all the equipment we needed, which made it ideal for our family. The pool was spotless, with a gorgeous view and a nice mix of sun and shade. This is one of the best places I’ve stayed, and we’re already making plans to return next year with a bigger group.

Doreen made us feel welcome from the first contact, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. When our rental car fell through, she even picked us up at the bus station, and she helped arrange a day out in the nearby villages. The winery tour and wine tasting were lovely and full of useful information. She has a way of making you feel almost like part of the family. The views across the vineyards and pencil pines are breathtaking, and the whole area feels so Tuscan. It was an indulgent, relaxing getaway that went beyond what we expected. We’d love to come back someday.

The garden is lovely, with a BBQ, and there’s a small heated indoor pool to enjoy even when the outdoor pool feels cold. The views are beautiful, the wine from the winery was really good, and the hospitality was great. It’s also well placed, about 20 minutes by car from lots of Tuscan towns and villages, large and small. Doreen was so helpful with restaurant recommendations and ideas for places to visit. One of the best places I’ve stayed.
