The location is unforgettable, and the staff are friendly and know their way around local things to do and places to eat. The rooms are simple but well equipped, with antique wardrobes and dressers. The restaurant wasn’t open in 2025, though they assured us it would reopen in 2026. Breakfast was top notch: scrambled eggs, cold cuts, homemade pound cakes, local jams and honey, fresh yogurt, freshly baked local bread, croissants and cereals. I’d like to try staying here again.

The setting is great and breakfast was decent, but I barely slept in because sound carries so badly into the rooms. In the morning I could hear loud conversations from the reception area and the elevator. Maybe it’s better on a floor above ground level. There are a few awkward, impractical room designs, though that’s understandable in a historic building. I’d come back, but I’d avoid a ground floor room.

The staff gave us a warm welcome, and breakfast was fresh and tasty each morning. The whole property was peaceful and well kept, with a large pool that’s great for unwinding and lovely views of the Tuscan countryside. We had a wonderful stay at Villa San Filippo, a lovely place to enjoy the quiet and charm of Tuscany.

The people here are warm and wonderful, and the countryside is amazing. You have to experience it in person. The hotel is a historic home that brings modern comforts together with elegant old-world charm, and every window looks out over the Tuscan countryside. The staff were caring and attentive, and their local knowledge helped us make the most of our plans to see nearby attractions and try excellent restaurants. Breakfast was a treat every morning, with local pastries, charcuterie, cereals, fruit and more. We can’t wait to come back and see our friends again. Such a wonderful experience.

The staff made our vacation feel special from the start. They were so warm and helpful, even finding us a comfortable family reservation at a lovely restaurant during the busy tourist season. We had a wonderful stay, and we're grateful for the care they put into making it such a great experience.
