Hotel Ristorante Stella 2000

I stayed here twice, for two nights each time, a few days apart. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the soundproofing was excellent. Staff were really nice. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, with most of the focus on sweet things, though that’s common enough for someone who travels regularly in Italy. I’d stay again.

The hotel has an old-fashioned feel and sits across from a gas station, around a 15-minute walk from Olbia center. The rooms are dated too, but clean, and ours had a smart TV and a free bottle of water. Staff were friendly. Breakfast needs work: it’s all Italian-style sweets, with nothing for foreign guests, which seemed to be the case all over the island. The hotel was okay, if a little expensive. After eight days travelling around, I still don’t understand why everything in Sardinia is so overrated.

The staff were very welcoming, and there’s a bus stop nearby, lots of places to eat and drink right at the doorstep, and a petrol station just outside. The airport is about a 15-minute bus ride away. Our room, the hot shower, and the air conditioning were all pretty good, and breakfast was good too. It’s a decent choice for a family. We were a family of three and only stayed overnight, so I can’t say anything about room service. I’d recommend it.

We felt at home and safe as soon as we arrived. Such a warm, familiar welcome. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the price feels fair. There’s free, secure parking on site, plus a restaurant and bar. We really recommend staying here. Greetings from Belgium!
