B&B Ro.Ma.

We had a great view from our room, with the Aeolian Islands and beautiful sunsets in sight. Breakfast was excellent, and the room was cleaned very well. We spent a weekend at the B&B, where Peppino looked after guests like friends. He's a lovely, affectionate person, and it was a pleasure hearing him recite his poems at breakfast.

The welcome was excellent, and so was the sea view from the room. The rest was fine, but breakfast was very sparse, it really ought to offer a bit of everything. I'd suggest updating the kitchen and putting another air conditioner where breakfast is served. A little room fragrance could be nice too.

What stayed with me most from my first visit to Sicily was how warmly people welcomed us. They're simple people who make you feel at home. My family and I stayed at this B&B, very conveniently located just across the road from the sea. Our room had air conditioning and a refrigerator, and cleanliness was outstanding. Carmelina served a generous breakfast with a smile and was so kind. Giuseppe, or Peppino, is a wonderful hard-working man and a poet, backed by a lovely family. Bye, Peppino. God willing, we'll see you next summer. Say hello to Sicily for us, and give Rosario a big kiss from us.

We stayed in the spacious Lipari room, which has a large bathroom and could easily fit five people. The refrigerator was stocked with local products and other food, a thoughtful touch that isn't always a given at B&Bs, as I've learned elsewhere. The place is very clean and well maintained, though the building is a little dated. There's also a huge veranda where breakfast is prepared, one to envy. The location is strategic, and Giuseppe, the owner, is wonderful and very helpful. Highly recommended.
