We only stayed one night, and I wished we could've stayed longer. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, and worked hard to make us feel at home. Our cozy, charming room had mountain views, and everything smelled of thyme. Dinner was delicious, especially the dessert, and the quiet, comfortable dining corner felt very private. We tried the spa, with its hot tub, sauna, showers, and relaxation area, but the hot tub was far too hot to enjoy. The staff apologized repeatedly and tried to fix it. Bard is tiny, quaint, and so picturesque. A lovely place to slow down for a few days.

We found this place on a one-night stop to see the nearby castle, a regional highlight, and it was a lovely discovery. The rooms are comfortable, very nice, and clean, and the staff are friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast is presented in a clever way that puts local producers and products in the spotlight. We didn't have time to try the beautiful spa, which is one reason we'd definitely come back. Everything is within walking distance. One thing I couldn't find information about beforehand: covered parking is very close, about 100m away, though it's not at the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful, and we had a great stay for two nights. Rooms are spacious, with a quality mattress and bathroom. Breakfast is amazing too, with homemade cakes, fruit, eggs, bread, cheeses, yoghurt, and plenty more. Parking is easy, just across the bridge. I recommend booking time in the spa facilities, which are beautifully built in the basement. Great spot, and we'll return!

The staff were wonderful and so accommodating, and the space was clean, bright, and comfortable. We'd come to Bard quite late in our camper van and stopped for a drink. They were so helpful that we asked if they had a room for us. They found one for us and our dog at short notice, even leaving dog food and a bottle of bubbles for us to enjoy on the lovely balcony. Highly recommend this hotel.
