Hotel al Sole Bardolino

The pool is a real plus for a hotel of this kind, and the area is pleasant, with the center close by. It’s a pretty hotel with nice service. I’d happily come back.

The breakfast was a real treat, with loads of choice and everything delicious. The staff were friendly and keen to help, and we were welcomed with a little glass of prosecco. The rooms were clean and nice, and there’s a lovely pool. The hotel is only a 3-5 minute walk from Bardolino Center, and parking is included. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely return!

It’s a quiet, pleasant place about a 10-minute walk from the center of Bardolino. The staff are nice, the rooms are very fine, and breakfast is good. There’s parking at the hotel, and you can buy drinks and snacks there. We’ll visit Al Sole again.

We had a great stay at Hotel Al Sole. It’s a handy base for the Lake Garda area, and Bardolino itself is only about a five-minute walk away. The town has a lovely bakery just before the tourist information office, across the road, and continuing along the main road for another five minutes brings you to a fairly large Spar supermarket. The hotel is quiet at night, though you can hear the difference if you take a five-minute walk down to the lake. Bus stops are about a minute away, beside Walles Burger and across the road. We used the frequent, reliable buses for trips to Verona, Gardaland, Movieland, Malcesine and Venice. The drivers give change. Movieland was our favourite, with great rides, especially Diabolik, Hollywood Tower and Kitt Superjet, plus shows. Go and see John Rambo! For Venice, reserve coach tickets at the tourist information office at least the day before. Every restaurant we tried was excellent and just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, always going out of their way. Our room was fresh, clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, hair dryer, safe, a very comfortable bed and a tidy bathroom. The continental breakfast was self-serve, with plenty to choose from, including scrambled and boiled eggs. WiFi was free, fast and reliable. I watched YouTube on my tablet at night while my wife used her smartphone and the kids watched videos on their tablets in the extra room, all without problems. There’s a fairly large private car park, and you get a key so you can get in if you return late. The medium-sized pool was big enough for the guests, and we could always find a few loungers whenever we went. Hot snacks, hot drinks, soft drinks and alcohol were available. I’d highly recommend staying here, whether you’re exploring the lake or just spending your time in Bardolino.
