Lovely Garda

Being right on the lake felt like paradise, and I only wish we could have stayed longer. The location was phenomenal, the breakfast superb, and the staff were some of the kindest and most helpful I’ve met. After my husband had an accident, Brunella, Frederico and Gloria supported us and shared local knowledge that made things so much better. Fabulous hotel.

The beach is just across the road, and you can walk to lots of restaurants and shops from this lovely spot. The staff were friendly and so helpful. When I asked about gluten free breakfast choices, they brought out a whole basket of muffins and bread. We also used the free shuttle bus to Bardolino to get around the area.

The rooms, beach, lawn, terrace, and restaurant were all lovely, and everything was very clean and well organised. There’s also a great gym, la palestra, and a sauna. The staff really stood out. Thanks especially to the cleaning ladies and the person cooking eggs and pancakes at breakfast, easily the friendliest and best. Mister Nicola is the absolute number one on the hotel grounds.

We came for a hotel right on the lake with a pool, and Sportsman turned out to be a great choice. The location is top notch, and the place felt safe and clean, with friendly staff. The food wasn’t to our taste, but that didn’t spoil our stay since we’d planned to eat out anyway. The maintenance staff helped us with everything we needed, including paddle boards, bicycles, and a few small questions. The reception staff were also very nice and ready to help. Great value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Bardolino area. We’ll be back. Thanks, Sportsman team!
