At 140 euros a night, this felt far too expensive for such a low standard. The only real plus is the location. The hotel is dated, the furniture is old, and the closet smelled. Our shower barely gave us a trickle of hot water. The carpet was laid in pieces with gaps where you could see the cement beneath it. Breakfast was poor, though I’d call it just acceptable. The parking area and entrance to the ski room were icy, which needs maintenance at a ski hotel. It felt like the place was focused on maximizing profit. Go only if you truly have no other option.

A friendly family hotel, well placed between the town centre and the lifts serving several slopes. Prices are reasonable, breakfast is enough, and there’s a free sauna. The staff and atmosphere are welcoming. I’d recommend a week’s stay for people who enjoy mountain skiing and biking.

A cozy spot with really good food, including specialties from both northern and southern Italy. They often have a free table even when other restaurants are full. Prices are about in line with what you’d expect for restaurants in Bardonecchia.

Parking is easy, and you can get to the city centre and Camp David without much trouble. The rooms are simple but clean, and the people are very friendly. Good food and pizza, too.
