Sotto L'Arco

The private parking right in front was very convenient, and the house made a great base for visiting L'Aquila and the nearby sights. We had a perfect stay with our small child in December 2025. The cozy place was warm even in the middle of winter, everything worked, and the owner was kind and helpful.

The views from the windows and the fresh mountain air made it easy to feel connected to the landscape at Casa Vacanze Sotto L'arco. After days out exploring, the large, comfortable beds and quality linens made for a restful night's sleep. I left already wanting to come back. The owner made us feel at home right away. He was friendly, offered advice about itineraries and local restaurants, and was always happy to chat. The whole place felt welcoming, with wood ceilings and doors that gave it a rustic mountain feel alongside modern comforts. Everything was spotless and clearly well cared for. The kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom well stocked, and modern appliances made the house practical without taking away from its style. It had everything we needed. For me, this is more than just a place to stay. The hospitality, cleanliness, comfort, and mountain atmosphere all came together for a lovely break from everyday life. If you're staying in the area, Casa Vacanze Sotto L'arco is worth considering. I found myself thinking about another visit before I had even left.

The portico was such a relaxing spot, whether we were eating, reading, or just listening to the lovely sounds of nature. The apartment is simple, but very clean and welcoming, and the owner is extremely kind. It's become our go-to place whenever we need some peace and time in nature. The location is handy too, close to L'Aquila and so many beautiful places in Abruzzo.

The fireplace made the atmosphere feel magical, and the heating kept the spotless apartment warm through winter. It was well equipped, with comfortable beds, and the wooden ceiling and doors gave it that mountain feel. The owner was lovely and helpful, which added to the charm. There's a pizzeria restaurant just a few steps away that's absolutely superb, and the ski slopes are about a 30-minute drive. I'd happily stay here again if I'm back in the area. Highly recommended.
