The price is a little higher, but the service makes it well worth it.

Right in the center of Barga, this is a lovely base for exploring the history and nature around the Garfagnana. The village has lovely people, good food, and a peaceful pace of life. There are excellent restaurants nearby, and the hosts can point you toward whatever information you need. Worried about the lack of parking at the B&B? Wally will sort it out. Katy and Wally are among the best hosts we've met. They really look after you, and even welcome you with a nice glass of wine. The room has every comfort, and the place is clean beyond expectations, refined, enchanting, and thoughtfully put together with art. A true little gem for a relaxing stay in a timeless village.

The contemporary art collection, including the many works displayed in the rooms, is valuable and tasteful. The rooms themselves are enchanting, stylish, and kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. Our hosts were warm and genuinely helpful, with great attention to service. It was a stay well worth having. Highly recommended.
