Our Booking reservation had been made six weeks ahead, but they cancelled it five days before the trip because they were overbooked. By then it was impossible to find anything at a similar price, so we had to pay much more. We got no apology or explanation for why ours was the reservation they dropped, even though other people had apparently booked later. Unreliable and unprofessional. Edit: The owner’s reply below came two weeks later, after my messages had been ignored, and it’s also a lie. I did respond to Booking. They offered alternative accommodation 20 km from the beach, in a village where there was nothing.

The apartment is only about 300 meters from a beautiful beach, which was a real plus. It’s also airy, so we slept well at night. There’s air conditioning too, for a fee, even if you only use it for a few days. The room was impeccably clean, and the kitchen had plenty of utensils. Franco, the owner, was kind and helpful from the start. We liked having the choice to bring our own linens, though the property also provides them at a very good price. If I return to this part of Sardinia, I’d happily choose this place again.

The apartment is near the Torre di Barì waterfront, and I loved staying there. It’s a quiet place, though the town has little going on in the evenings beyond a few bars and restaurants. The studio had what we needed and was carefully furnished, with a bunk bed and a comfortable sofa bed. There are two verandas, one with a table and the other with a drying rack and loungers. I’d recommend it to anyone after some peace and quiet.
