Stella dell'Est

We spent one night here. The room was really big and had a little kitchen, and there was a cheap supermarket right across from the hotel. It worked perfectly for us.

The staff at Stella dell'Est were attentive and always ready to help, and we felt right at home. We had a truly excellent stay in Bari Sardo. The property was clean, well kept, and welcoming, with a peaceful feel, and the sea just minutes away. Its location also made it a good base for relaxing while exploring the beauty of Ogliastra. Highly recommended for comfort, relaxation, and genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

The location was handy, with beautiful beaches only a few kilometers away and plenty of natural beauty inland for anyone wanting to explore. The small terrace was lovely, with a little table and two chairs, plus a very useful drying rack with pegs. There was also a small rack by the kitchen window, though its rods were a bit thick. Inside, the bedroom had a closet roomy enough for clothes, and the kitchen had a table with four chairs, a TV, and an induction stovetop. The Crai supermarket was just steps away on the same street, and in the morning one of us could pop over for fresh croissants since breakfast wasn’t included. The mini-apartment had a bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, and towels. In the kitchen there was a kitchenette, mini-fridge, dishes, detergent, and a dishcloth. I bought a sponge because the one there had already been used, which didn’t seem very hygienic. The kitchen looked clean apart from the cutlery drainer, which I washed with dish soap, and something in the sink that might have been food residue. The shower tray was dirty too. I didn’t have gloves, detergent, or a cloth to clean it properly, so we always showered in slippers. Everything else was clean. The air conditioning was only in the bedroom. The people sleeping on the kitchen bed, a camp bed, complained about the heat. Depending on how you sat, it could fold into a sandwich shape and felt unstable. There were three little single-use shower gel bottles in the complimentary kit, one per person, but no hand soap dispenser, which I’ve always found even in farmhouses, so we bought our own. When we ran out of toilet paper, we bought more. They probably forgot to replenish it when they changed the towels. A shoe rack in the kitchen would be useful to keep shoes off the floor, and a shelf in the bathroom would help too. Some cement on the shower wall to make a flat spot would give you somewhere to put shampoo or shower gel. The existing spot was high up and hard to see, so it was difficult to find anywhere the bottles wouldn’t fall.
