The host was easy to communicate with, and I really appreciated her flexibility around check-in and checkout. The location is handy, close to the train station and within walking distance of the old town. Our room was spacious and mostly clean, and there was a nice terrace, though we didn’t use it in November. The bathroom setup was poorly thought out: the glass door let early sunlight into the room, and there were no shades on the bathroom window. The shower was broken, and I noticed black mold in some spots. Breakfast was the biggest letdown. The selection was limited and the quality was poor, nowhere near exceptional. A capsule coffee machine in Italy was a surprise, and not a good one. We skipped breakfast the next day.

The location was the one good thing about this B&B. We stayed November 12-16, and I wouldn’t return. I’d rather pay more for another hotel or B&B. On arrival, the host had set the heater to 28, which was unbearably hot. It was still 24 or 25 outside during the day, so we tried to use the AC, but it didn’t work. We reported it, and at first she insisted the machine needed time to start. We’re from a tropical country and know how AC works. When switched to AC mode, the unit stopped immediately; only the heater worked. She tried a few times, without success. When I asked her to fix it, she seemed passive and said she couldn’t do anything. She also said American tourists had used AC two weeks earlier without a problem. I think that was a lie, since the AC didn’t work in another room either, and I’d read similar complaints in Booking reviews. When guests report a problem, the host shouldn’t argue straight away. She should try to fix it and let them know she made an effort. We also arranged a driver for a day trip to Alberebello and Polignano. The day before, we confirmed all the details, including timing and price. I wrote: “We leave the hotel at 11:00, and go to Polignano, Then leave Polignano at 14:00, and go to Alberobello Then leave Alberobello at 17:30.” The host said the driver knew the schedule and quoted 280 euros total for three people. But the driver tried to finish the trip earlier and charge us more. He changed his mind only after I showed him the messages. When I told the host after we returned, she didn’t seem to care. She kept saying they only act as an intermediary for guests and claimed they’d never heard of this happening to anyone else. For our three days there, we got only one small tube of shampoo and a tiny soap each day. When I asked for more, the host said that was all they provided. Completely unacceptable. I’ve never stayed at a B&B like this. Room 3 had broken curtains, the WiFi was the worst, and the heater in room 4 made a huge noise. Breakfast was just minimally satisfactory, though the staff there were much nicer than the host.

The room was roomy and clean, and breakfast is available in the morning. We were only in Bari for one night, and this was just right. The staff were kind and helpful, check-in went smoothly, and someone gave us a map and suggestions for places to eat. It’s close to everything, with a short walk to the old town and the waterfront.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was very nice and free. It’s an easy six-minute walk from the train station. We got quick replies to our questions, and manager Antonella was especially kind and helpful. We appreciate it! 🙏🏻
