I felt very warmly welcomed, and I’d definitely stay here again. The Murat neighborhood and apartment were quiet, though the old windows don’t insulate well. That didn’t take away from my stay. The place is spacious, with very high ceilings, and the air conditioning works well without much noise. I loved having breakfast on the balcony, which is big enough for a table. There’s also a capsule coffee machine, kettle, cutlery, and other basics in the apartment. It’s a short walk to the historic center, but you avoid the noise there. The apartment faces an administrative building, the financial police, so there’s little to no overlooking. A Eurospin is three minutes away for basic groceries, and there’s a coffee shop less than a minute away. It focuses on espresso but also does a good Americano to go for French visitors in the morning. Underground parking is nearby, or you can park on the street for €1 an hour or €12 a day during paid hours.

Francesca was lovely and always ready with directions, suggestions, or help with any needs. The location also made it easy to walk to all the sights. The room is generous in size, carefully kept, and furnished in a modern, clean style. The bed and pillow were new and extremely comfortable. The minimalist bathroom was clean and practical, and the shower with chromotherapy was wonderful. Breakfast is self-serve, with the owner supplying rusks, Nutella, jam, yogurt, milk frother, and coffee maker, plus gluten-free options if needed. One drawback is that room cleaning is weekly, though you can request it daily.

The owner was pleasant, though she doesn’t live in the building, and breakfast isn’t provided. The room is roomy and conveniently close to the city center. The bathroom has no window but is well kept. A few shelves would be a useful addition.

From the urban-style decor to the comforts inside, this apartment feels like a place you might find in central Paris or Berlin. Bari Vecchia is only a five-minute walk away. I’d recommend it.
