Affittacamere San Nicola d'amare

The rooftop terrace was a highlight, with loads of space and a sea view. Our room had air conditioning and was cleaned daily, and the host was really lovely. The place is in the old town, close enough to walk everywhere but away from the busiest bit. Breakfast is included at a nice spot a minute around the corner, where we had the best coffee so far. Just be aware the room is on the third floor, with no lift and very narrow stairs. Getting our suitcases up was a bit of a challenge. Even so, we had a great stay and would recommend it.

Sara and her family made us feel very welcome. Her husband and son were helpful with suggestions about where to go, and Sara went out of her way to sort out a mishap: water had leaked in my black purse and stained my white pants, so she dried the purse and washed the pants while we were out exploring. She doesn’t speak English, but using a translation app on her phone worked fine. We stayed in a clean, convenient ground-floor room and loved it. There are also rooms upstairs, where the rooftop terrace is, with incredible views. The place is right in the middle of the old town, in a great part of Bari. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it. Thanks for such a lovely visit!

We spent a week here as a couple, right in the centre of the old town. The host was a very kind and helpful woman. Our clean third-floor room had a small bathroom and a balcony looking onto a narrow street, with views of the sea and town. Upstairs, the rooftop was gorgeous, with lots of seating and an amazing view. The apartment had useful equipment too, including an iron and a hair dryer. We recommend it.

The old building has a lot of historic charm, and the owner is caring and accommodating. It’s in one of Bari’s best locations. The downside is that the rooms are very small, and phone reception doesn’t work inside because the walls are so thick.
