B&Z Luxury

The central location was the one bright spot. At check-in, the apartment still had rubbish and food left by earlier guests, hair in the bathroom, and a balcony that was dirty and unusable. The shower head didn't work, and a strong bad smell lingered for over 24 hours. These are basic things that should have been sorted before guests arrived. The host's response to fair criticism was even more troubling. Rather than handle it professionally, they were defensive and dismissive, used an inappropriate tone, and made personal accusations. Paying guests shouldn't be treated that way. The accommodation didn't live up to its description or its name, so I can't recommend it.

The location was great, close to everything in Bari, and the WhatsApp service was very quick and pleasant. We had a lovely two-night stay and would come back. The apartment's modern furnishings and kitchen with an espresso machine and fridge suited us well. The bathroom was nice, with a shower that was actually a decent size for Italy. The mattress felt a little worn, though, and they said they'd look into it after I mentioned it.

I left honest feedback on booking.com and the owner replied right away. Instead of apologizing or taking my comments as advice, he got angry. He wrote things like, “That’s enough, I don’t have more time to waste,” and “I sincerely hope you don’t return.” He also said guests like me wasted their time and damaged their reputation with false statements, then told me to ask myself what people would think and said I made him laugh. I hope no other guest has to go through such a bad and upsetting experience.

Extremely disappointing. They charged extra money to our credit card without asking us. My husband could have taken legal action against the hotel. Never put your card on their website, the owner can apparently access it and take whatever amount he wants, as if the legal rules don't apply to him.
