It's a cool room to crash in, with a good location, if you're strong, in decent shape, and traveling light. The room was clean and had an espresso machine, small fridge, and hot plate, but no breakfast. It can be hard to find, there's nowhere to park or drive close, and you'll have to haul your bags from wherever you manage to leave the car, common in Italy. The stairs are steep to the first floor and even steeper to the second. Check out the pics.

I spent one night freezing and left. The owner just said I should have asked for another blanket. I paid 150 euros for two nights. The room wasn't at all suited to winter: in February the sheets and blanket weren't enough, though the owner apparently could have dealt with it since someone had mentioned this a week earlier. The floor was freezing, the window let in cold and noise, and there was no hot water in the shower. There were no blackout curtains on the window facing the lit street, the bed linen wasn't high quality, and comfort was low. The price should vary between low and high season.

The hot tub set into the floor is very inviting, though it adds humidity, so you need to keep the air conditioning running day and night. We stayed in the suite, which is beautiful and distinctive. It was all clean and nicely arranged, with an open-plan shower, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, TV, coffee machine with a few pods, mini-fridge stocked with bottled water, and more. It's conveniently located for exploring Bari Vecchia, and the owners are kind and helpful.

This B&B can't be relied on! I booked and paid by bank transfer on March 1 for a confirmed reservation for June 29, 2024. When I arrived in Bari, I was told there was no room for me. Instead of apologizing, the owner said I was partly to blame too, and didn't even try to find me somewhere else to stay. He doesn't do his job properly and shouldn't treat customers this way!
