The rooms are clean and breakfast is fine, and at the budget price we paid, I can't complain. Still, the place has the feel of somewhere due to be demolished soon for new apartments. One odd thing: a taxi into town costs 15 euros, but the ride back is only 10. Go figure.
The hotel has a closed parking lot, which is a real plus given the frequent car thefts in the Bari-Andria-Barletta area. It's also very close to the sea. Rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the bathrooms are small but clean and okay. Breakfast is all right, though nothing special. Staff are friendly and polite.
The old carpet is dark and stinky, and the wall colors look dated. The worn window wouldn't lock, so it kept banging in the wind all night. Then nearby jackhammers woke me again before 8 a.m. This hotel only needs some minor updates to make a stay more pleasant.
Hotel 7 Mari is right on the seafront, near Bari, and it's a peaceful location. If you want to stay in the city and do lots of shopping, though, I wouldn't recommend it. Service is much like what you'd find at other hotels in Italy.
The rooms are spacious and clean, though the standard is average. It's close to one of the city's biggest and most beautiful beaches, and works well for a low-cost trip.
