Il Priscio Apartment

We felt like we were getting a local experience, and walking around the neighborhood felt safe. The bus stop for town is only minutes away: turn left as you leave the building, take the next right, and catch Bus #10 about halfway down the street on the opposite side, near the Historic District. We found a parking space on the street and left the car there, using public transport to get around. The AC worked well and the wifi was good. The room, bathroom, and shared kitchen were modest but had what we needed. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of closet space, and we made good use of the drying rack and balcony to dry clothes we’d washed in the sink. Elfio is a welcoming, attentive host, and his collection of information was especially helpful when planning stops between Bari and Lecce. We didn’t opt for breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. We enjoyed our stay.

Elfio is friendly and helpful at any hour, and he replies quickly. When we arrived late, we had trouble understanding the man at the car rental place where we’d planned to rent. Elfio called them for us. I’d avoid Auto One, which we booked through Surprice, and rent from Filorent instead. When he doesn’t know an answer, Elfio looks into it. He even found a nearby park-and-ride option, where we could find free parking spaces late in the evening. The apartment is well equipped, with coffee and tea provided, and mineral water waiting for us when we arrived. Elfio has also put together detailed booklets about places to visit. There’s a pizzeria called Pizzamania just a three-minute walk away, with lots of pizzas at reasonable prices. Thanks for everything, Elfio.

The host was very friendly, and the place is nice and conveniently located, about a 10-minute walk from the central station. I’m giving it four stars because getting to the bathroom meant walking through the common area, and that area wasn’t thoroughly cleaned.

The owner was kind and made delicious homemade breakfasts every day. The rooms felt fresh and cozy, and the B&B is just a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre. It was an excellent choice, and I’d absolutely recommend it.
