Il Pumo - Apulian Rooms Bari Savoia

The area around the place is clean and quiet, so being close to the train station didn't bother us. It's a nice base if you want to take lots of trips from the station and still walk around Bari center. The rougher area is west and north-west of the station. The rooms are better than you'd expect from a 3 star AirBNB. A thumbs up to the person doing the daily cleaning, who was very detail oriented.

The daily room cleaning was done to a very high standard, with fresh linen, and the person looking after the rooms was friendly, accommodating, and always greeted us with a smile. Our group of friends traveling with children was genuinely happy with Il Pumo, and we'd happily stay again. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and spotless. Sizes and storage are fairly average, but that didn't affect comfort. Beds were good, and the showers were especially excellent. The minibar was a lovely bonus, with snacks and drinks restocked each day at no extra charge. Rooms also had TV, coffee facilities, and fast, reliable internet. Self check-in with door codes worked smoothly. It's about a 20-minute walk to the shopping area and 30 minutes to the old town. The stroll is pleasant, though there aren't many amenities right nearby. For anyone arriving by car, a large three-storey car park is a minute away and costs €20 overnight. The building looks like a typical Italian one from the outside, large and a little worn, but inside the rooms are calm, quiet, and thoughtfully set up. A very good Bari base, especially for families or groups who want comfort, cleanliness, and an easy stay.

Coffee on the balcony in the morning, with the sun out, was my favorite part. The room had a comfortable bed, stylish interior, and spotless bathroom, plus so many complimentary snacks and drinks that I lost count. Getting in with self check-in was easy, and they replied quickly on WhatsApp. It’s just a short walk from the train station, handy for seeing Bari and beyond. Such an underrated find, I wish more people knew about it. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

We really liked the big bathroom and bathtub, and the king size bed was very comfortable. The room was spotless, with thoughtful extras like water and a kettle for hot drinks. It’s easy to walk to restaurants and attractions in Bari, and there’s a parking garage close by. WiFi was great too. We’d happily recommend staying here.
