The room was small but clean, with a comfortable mattress, and the hot water arrived fairly quickly and stayed hot. Pierluigi, I think that was his name, was very sweet when he checked me in. The location was great, and I was comfortable overall. But the spiral stairs are a real problem if you have limited mobility. They were difficult even with my backpack, and I can't imagine managing a suitcase. Breakfast was just coffee from a small machine and packaged muffins. At 70 euro, I expected a bit more.

The setting made it easy to experience old Bari like a local. It's in a safe neighborhood with easy access around the old town, close to the castle and the famous “pasta streets”; Piazza Largo Albicocca is just around the corner and lively in the evenings. The tenement house has been recently renovated, with a lovely interior. The rooms are small but very comfortable and clean. There's water and coffee in the kitchenette, plus a nice sitting area on the roof.
