B&B Centrale

We won't be staying here again, unfortunately. The place is central, but it's in a limited traffic zone (ZTL), and the closest secure parking is 900 meters away. That should at least be mentioned in the ad. Breakfast was included in the rate, but the deal was with a bar on the parallel street, Via Nazareth. The manager there works alone, so getting a cappuccino and a frozen croissant took ages. We tried it on the first day, then gave up and found somewhere else. One of the two rooms was practically blind. The bathroom had a half-glass shower, which meant squeezing over to one side to wash. There was a note on the wall saying this was for safety reasons, though I think stalls with a fixed door and a sliding door are available. The light by the bathroom mirror, which was blind, was already burned out when we arrived. We told the owner, and he said he'd come fix it, but we never saw or heard from him again. At checkout we met the manager's mother, a lovely person who gave us some complimentary figs. I am sorry, but I wouldn't stay here again.

The room was clean and well kept, and the hosts were friendly and ready to help. It was also a great spot, very close to the station, the sea, and the beautiful historic center.

We visited for the May 1st long weekend, arriving by train, and the station is very close. The property was comfortable, clean, and right in the center. Luca, the manager, was super kind and helpful. Highly recommended.
