Kofler GuestHouse

It was very quiet, and we slept well on the really comfortable mattress. Breakfast had a wide selection, and we'll definitely return. When we arrived, staff welcomed us at their bar, where we checked in. They kindly sent all the information we needed on transportation, local restaurants, and parking via WhatsApp. They showed us to the room and explained how everything worked. It was modernly furnished and fully equipped. A bit small, but just right for two thanks to the separate spaces. There isn't a regular window. The only window is high up and opens with a button, but it still brings in light and air, helped by the high ceilings.

I was on my own after returning from work, so it was nice to sit and chat downstairs with Pasquale and Marianna before heading up to my room. They were truly helpful, recommending places to eat and even where to park. Breakfast is served in the bar downstairs and had plenty of choice. The next day, I decided to eat in my room instead, and they brought it up at the time I asked. The room was spacious and airy thanks to its high ceilings, and had all the comforts. It only had a window overlooking an internal condominium, but there was also a window inside the bathroom. Daily housekeeping was done. I thought the hot air balloons hanging from the ceiling were a really original touch.

The breakfast was generous and varied, and we could have it in the room or downstairs at the owners’ bar. The rooms are on the first floor, tastefully furnished, quiet, and have all the comforts. Right in central Barletta, it’s a great base for exploring. The owners are warm and clearly passionate about what they do. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

My friends said their room was in excellent condition, which is why I’m giving two stars. The booking was for a night and breakfast for two, paid in advance. The bar was closed the next day, and nobody called the evening before or sent even a brief apology. I wrote to the owner and heard nothing back. If I’d booked through Booking.com, I would have complained there. I have a very different idea of what welcoming guests means. Amen, and good luck.
