For a below-average price, this place still felt like good value. It’s easy to find, with plenty of free parking nearby, and sits in the middle of the national park. The host speaks Italian but not English, so have a translation app handy :). The bedroom, bathroom, and shared breakfast area were very clean. They cleaned daily, tidied the rooms, and left fresh shower gel, so everything was clean again for the next day. Breakfast is usually Italian, with homemade sweet cakes, but you can ask for a savory option with bread, ham, and cheese. I recommend staying here.

The room was just the right size, the staff were super friendly, and breakfast each morning was delicious. Such a beautiful spot. I loved my stay and can’t wait to return!

Augusto was a lovely host, and everything was spotlessly clean. It’s very close to the center of Barrea, well placed for exploring nearby, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. We’ll come back.
