The hosts are really kind, and the views are amazing at this lovely spot in the heart of Italy. My Ecuadorian wife and I had a great time. We loved Umbria and hope to return with our children soon. Thank you!

After a day on the trail, we arrived to such a warm, kind welcome. The place made us feel right at home. Our room and bathroom were beautiful, decorated with lovely taste and attention to detail. Dinner was excellent, prepared with care and passion, and breakfast was simply out of this world. Paola and her husband are wonderful people. Of all the places we stayed during the walk, La Gallinella Rossa was the best for me, and it’ll stay in our hearts.
My sister Giulia and I spent our final night on the Cammino dei Borghi Silenti (Silent Villages Trail) with this lovely family. Every other place we stayed along the way had its merits, but this one was the icing on the cake. We were pampered from start to finish and welcomed with real warmth. The property sits in beautiful Umbrian countryside among vineyards and olive groves, with a 360-degree view from our room’s terraces. Both the room and house had real character. Everything was very clean, and the garden was perfect for relaxing after all those miles. We had a fun evening with the other wonderful Tuscan guests staying there. A warm hello if they read this, and thanks for such a carefree evening. Dinner was delicious and came with excellent local wine. Before setting off for the last stretch in the morning, we had a generous, high-quality breakfast: bread, butter, jam, croissants, plenty of cakes, and hot drinks. A special thank you to Paola for taking such good care of me and dealing with my many requests about my particular diet. Putting together such varied, tasty meals that were gluten-free, lactose-free, and meat-free, heartbreaking, I know 😂😂😂, must be difficult, but she did it brilliantly! If you take on this wonderful journey, be sure to stop at Paola and Carsten’s. It’s the perfect ending to a spectacular trip. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything and for adding another memory to this precious time. A warm hug from the sisters from Bologna! Valentina and Giulia
A lovely guesthouse right on the Silent Villages Trail. Paola and her husband are very welcoming, the room was delightful, and Paola made an excellent dinner and breakfast, both homemade. It’s worth adding a couple of kilometers to the fourth stage for a relaxing afternoon in this peaceful oasis. Then in the morning you can set off with the initial sprint of the fifth stage already behind you. Highly recommended!
Three friends and I stayed at this lovely little place while walking the Silent Villages Trail. The owners welcomed us warmly into their beautiful home, and it was a pleasure meeting them. Book the dinner, it’s delicious and well worth it. The next day brings a generous, excellent breakfast too. Highly recommended!
