Maso La Vecchia Quercia

I stayed here for a month because of work, and the owners made the place feel like home. Alessandro was warm-hearted and took care of every request. Monica cooked traditional Trentino food for us every day, and it was excellent. Their son Angelo put up with me and supported me through the whole month. Rossella, the owner's mother, and Giuliano also deserve a mention for keeping us company in the evenings with such kindness. The property sits on a hilltop and has a special view of the lake. My room was clean and the bed comfortable. I loved the sparkling rosé, and I hope we can all share another glass when we meet again. It was a fantastic stay, and I know I'll miss everyone. You were wonderful in every way, and I'll never forget you.

Monica, her mother, and Angelo made me feel like part of the family from the day I arrived, even though I was away from my loved ones. We stayed at Maso la Vecchia Quercia for a month with colleagues for work connected to the 2026 Milan-Cortina Olympics. It's a family-run place on a hill by the lake, in a hamlet of Baselga di Pinè. The food was excellent throughout the stay. Monica ran the kitchen, with a varied menu and freshly made dishes. I never had the same dish twice in the month. There was also a generous vegetable buffet, and the strudel was so good that everyone asked for seconds, sometimes thirds. We often got back after the kitchen had closed, but Monica would wait for us and make a hot meal to order. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom and a big terrace furnished with a table and chairs. The lake view from there was breathtaking. The rooms were clean, too. Breakfast offered both sweet and savory options, including homemade cakes and jams, fresh yogurt, and more. Angelo looked after the dining room exceptionally well. He was polite, attentive, and always willing to meet our requests. We'll definitely come back. Thanks for everything, and keep it up!

We spent New Year's here and had a very nice time. The room was spacious, with a balcony looking out over the lake. It was fairly clean, though there were cobwebs and a little mold on the bathroom ceiling. The bathroom itself had no window. We booked half board. Dinner came with a generous buffet of vegetables and starters, followed by two dishes to choose from that morning. The cooking was simple and home-style, but good. Breakfast had a varied buffet with sweet and savory options. I would have liked to see more local specialties. It's a charming guesthouse with a kitchen, and I'd recommend it for a holiday.

Christmas lunch here felt warm and peaceful, like being at home. The welcome and atmosphere were lovely, and we'll happily come back and recommend it. The meal was special from the starters through dessert. The dishes were carefully made, creative, and delicious, with good ingredients and a nice balance of authentic flavors and original touches. Everything looked beautiful, too, and you could feel the care that went into the food.
