The staff serving meals were nice, and lunch and supper were pretty tasty on most days. Breakfast, though, was terrible. The owner, who also works reception, was rude and mocked us at the end of the trip. The rooms were so cramped it was hard to move around, and dirty too. Towels hadn’t been washed, and even after we specifically asked, we didn’t get more toilet paper. The place was extremely noisy, with trains making a terrible racket all the time. Outside looked dirty, old, and ugly, with trash cans in view from our balcony. Air conditioning kept malfunctioning despite the extra charge, which was expensive. There was no remote, and the AC control panel was taped over. It didn’t work in the lobby or canteen either. We weren’t told about many of the additional charges, including extra payments for single and double rooms. The owner charged us more at the end than he’d quoted on the first day. He kept our IDs and passports for the first three days, repeatedly saying he’d return them later. He wrote important information on scraps of paper, gave us no real documentation, and we received no confirmation for any payments. Prices were far too high for this quality. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

There’s a bar and reception, and parking is available. The hotel is near the sea, with clean rooms and friendly staff. It’s not modern, but still good. Special thanks to Rita for being so helpful!

Some guests seem to arrive expecting room service and foot rubs, then complain. The rooms are small, sure, but if you’re after a huge suite with three bathroom sinks, maybe Florida is more your thing. This is a lovely place that’s kept its traditions and serves some of the best food you can find. I wouldn’t change anything and plan to keep coming back.

Really bad. There was hair in the food, and things were stolen from the room during cleaning. Avoid.
