Bonotto Hotel Belvedere

I’ve been to Bassano 20 times, but this was my first stay at this hotel. From outside it looks like a regular hotel in a small Italian town, but inside it’s surprisingly spacious and beautiful. The location is superb, and the old style is carefully put together with great art. The staff were very friendly and the whole experience was amazing. Looking forward to coming back soon.

I’m very disappointed with how the hotel has handled my belongings and the conflicting messages about them. Three pieces of clothing were damaged after the hotel sent them to a dry cleaner. They agreed to compensate me for one item. The other two, a blue down jacket and a burgundy cashmere sweater, were kept so they could be taken to Ferronato, a professional dry cleaner, to fix the damage. Hotel staff clearly told me that was the plan, and I had also sent written instructions not to return them to the cleaner that caused the damage. Later, my colleague, who handled the booking, was told the clothes had gone back to that same cleaner. When I called myself, the hotel denied they were there and said they “do not intend to take the items anywhere,” and that I should collect them as they are. This is seriously unprofessional and leaves my belongings in the hotel's hands despite my instructions. I want a clear official explanation for the situation and the contradictory information.

I was there for one night for a work meeting. The location worked really well, about a seven-minute walk from the train station and right by the city centre. Breakfast was good, and dinner was okay.

The room was warm and cosy, and the staff were courteous even though we arrived late. I spent one night in Bassano Del Grappa at Hotel Belvedere and had a very pleasant stay. My Italian is about as good as my Chinese, so I had to use some improvised sign language to get a few things across. I'd stay again if I'm in the area.
