Ostello Bassano Del Grappa

At 50 euros a night, I just can’t justify a higher rating. The price felt far too high for what we got: tiny, not very comfortable beds, plus sticky, dirty floors. And the “breakfast” was a joke, just a couple kinds of bread and some fruit. It was surprisingly quiet even though the place was full, which I appreciated. The staff also did their best to make our stay work. If it had cost less, I would have rated it higher.

I paid €35 for a single room, and the hostel was clean, friendly, and inexpensive. It’s also very close to Bassano. Breakfast was part of the price, with lots of drinks including soy milk and juice, plus croissants. There’s plenty of roomy shared space, including outside. I’d definitely recommend it.

The service was easily the best I’ve had in a hostel, and the building was great and very clean. They even had gluten-free options at breakfast.

The staff were friendly, and everything was clean and efficient. My room was small but comfortable, and the bathroom in the room was tiny, but who cares? You’re here to see the beautiful sights, not spend your time in the room. There’s a preschool attached, so it can serve as a morning alarm clock.
