The chef is a real strength here, a down-to-earth person with golden hands, a true all-rounder. The pool is gorgeous and always clean, and the welcoming rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful too. You’re just steps from Assisi and Umbria’s main attractions. I’d definitely return.

We rented two clean, fresh-smelling rooms for one night, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There’s plenty of parking, and Assisi is only 5 km away. Breakfast was generous, with croissants, homemade cakes, juices, and savory choices too. It’s a shame the spa was closed and the pool couldn’t be used.

The hotel is centrally placed for visiting the region, and the owner was friendly and helpful when handing over our room keys. Still, the dated furnishings, carpeting throughout, and small, not very clean bathroom with lots of hair on the floor were disappointing. We had dinner at the hotel after sightseeing. The penne alla norcina had too much fake truffle, and the tagliata with arugula and parmesan was tasteless. At breakfast there was no fresh milk. We asked for some to be heated, and the reaction made it feel as if we’d asked for a piece of our heart. The usual vending machines served drinks that tasted like medicine. A couple of the cakes were decent, but dry and not fresh. Parking is free and fits about ten cars. Guests can also get a coupon for a discount at one of the Assisi parking lots affiliated with the hotel. We stayed a couple of nights, but I don’t think we’ll return.

We only spent one night and had breakfast, which the waiter served expertly. The receptionist was professional and helpful, and the property is conveniently located for reaching Assisi and Perugia. Three stars seems right: it was clean enough, but some details could use attention and a little effort to improve.
