Great place, within walking distance of the town center and about 15 minutes from the seaside. It's privately owned and managed, very clean, and works well for stays with children.

Great place, within walking distance of the town center and about 15 minutes from the seaside. It's privately owned and managed, very clean, and works well for stays with children.

What stood out was how quiet it was. Even though it's strategically close to the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway, which is convenient for travelers, I didn't hear a thing and slept very well. I stayed two nights at the B&B Dal Gallo, arriving from Milan to visit friends, and had an excellent stay. The room was brand new, tidy, and impeccably clean. There was a pleasant, fresh smell as soon as I walked in. Mr. Antonio was especially kind and helpful, and paid attention to his guests' needs. I'd happily recommend the place, and I'd stay here again if I return to Battipaglia.
Antonio made the stay especially pleasant: he was warm, kind, always helpful, and ready with a joke. I chose this clean, simple B&B in Battipaglia as a break on a long journey, and it worked perfectly. The room was basic but cared for, with what we needed for a comfortable night. The location is easy to reach and suits people passing through.
The breakfast was disappointing, just croissants from a discount store. We were glad to stay only one night. In my opinion the room wasn't soundproofed well, and light sleepers may hear cars crossing the A1 highway.
I've stayed here before. It's clean, in an excellent location, and works well for a short visit. Both times, though, I found the manager's manner gruff and out of place. Some people might find it endearing, but I would have appreciated a friendly smile and more helpfulness.
