We paid €140 for a place meant to be a three-star hotel, but it felt like a neglected hostel. The facilities were outdated, maintenance was poor, there was dust in the bathroom and breakfast was terrible. It was supposed to be the final night of our trip, but instead it left us frustrated and regretful. I strongly advise avoiding this place.

The rooms are spacious and charming, with a great view, and the staff and service are wonderful. Breakfast felt right for what we paid for the rooms. There’s a full-service bar with coffee and alcohol. A hidden gem on Lake Maggiore for the price.

The staff were great, friendly and very helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and kept clean and tidy. The hotel has a lake view and secure, controlled parking. Breakfast was good, and the lounge is comfortable, with coffee, soft drinks, beer and wine available. A few minutes’ walk takes you to the lake for boat trips or a water taxi.

The pool was cozy and charming, with local life in view below, and the rooms were perfect with excellent cleaning. I liked the €1 espresso. For me, the breakfast was the same every day. Baveno has a great location.

The views from the room balconies are superb, and the hotel is close to the waterfront, restaurants, a supermarket and the train station. It’s a lovely family-run place with a friendly feel, clean rooms, a good breakfast and a nice pool and surrounding area. A wonderful place to stay.
