Hotel Elvezia

I stayed in a two-bedroom apartment and was really impressed by the rooms. The lounge had a kitchenette with the equipment we needed, there was air conditioning in the central area, and the apartment had a washing machine. The beds were very comfortable. It's a good base for exploring nearby, with quick, easy connections to Stresa and Mergozzo. The train station is a five-minute walk one way, and the lakefront with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops is five minutes the other way. The area is peaceful, beside a beautiful church and courtyard. I'd definitely recommend it.

Everything is close to this apartment, yet it's so quiet here. The surroundings are surprisingly beautiful, too. A perfect place to stay on Lago Maggiore. Definitely recommend!

The main issue is the path from the entrance gate to the front door: there's no lighting along it, no illuminated way through the courtyard, and no signs. Arriving in the evening like that isn't ideal. The hotel itself has spacious, clean rooms and a central location. There is convenient public parking, or you can arrange a dedicated hotel space in advance.

We were thrilled with the accommodation we picked for our trip. The view from every window was unbeatable, and the spacious apartment was beautifully furnished with lots of attention to detail. It's close to the center while still being completely peaceful. There isn't staff on-site, but any problems can be sorted out quickly and courteously through Booking.com. You could probably find a small flaw here and there, but the very fair price for what you get and the overall impression made those easy to overlook. I'd definitely stay here again.
