Our hosts, a family, seemed to think of everything we might need. They welcomed us with baked treats and a bottle of Italian prosecco, and breakfast had a wider choice than many hotels. Best of all, we could take in an amazing Lake Como view from the balcony and garden while eating. The photo I took is the view from breakfast in the garden. That’s a lovely way to enjoy life!

The house is a bit of a walk from the center, but we were happy to stay away from the bustle, and there are buses if needed. The family who run it made us feel very welcome, even picking us up from the ferry. We arrived to prosecco, fresh cherries, and pastries, while the fridge and cupboards were stocked for breakfast and a meal. Everything was clean, beautifully maintained, and extremely well equipped, and they shared lots of useful information. They’d thought of little extras too, like toys for the children, mosquito candles, and sunscreen. We’d definitely come back.

The owners were extremely helpful, and the enclosed garden is very dog friendly. The property sits on the eastern side of the Bellagio promontory, overlooking Lake Como, with good local amenities nearby. It’s a pleasant 20-minute walk to the main Bellagio waterfront.

The outdoor space is amazing, and the owner was super friendly, stocking the kitchen with food and alcohol. The place itself was comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s a little way from downtown, but definitely walkable. An absolute treasure.
