Casa La Rosa

The apartment is spacious and basic, and worked fine for a few days. Getting to the centre takes some effort: it’s downhill for 10-15 minutes via lots of steps, then another 10 minutes on foot. Coming back up those stairs in the heat wasn’t fun, though it’s doable if you’re reasonably fit. Anyone who has trouble with stairs should avoid this location. The bed was the main problem. Its old mattress had a deep dip in the middle, so we tucked some spare pillows underneath to flatten it out a little and make it more comfortable. I know Bellagio prices are generally higher, but at this price the bed should be much better, not an old, lumpy mattress.

The host was kind and helpful when we arrived, and the apartment had no problems. There are lovely views across both sides of the lake, and it’s good value. Bellagio is a short walk away if you don’t mind the steps.

Marco and his team really went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Casa La Rosa feels peaceful and tucked away, with stunning views of Lake Como, yet downtown Bellagio is an easy 10-minute walk. The rooms have a veranda or terrace facing the garden, and there’s a pool with sun loungers too. A beautiful, welcoming spot to enjoy Bellagio. Thank you!

Really lovely, clean rooms with high ceilings and an authentic Italian feel. The centre is around a 10-15 minute walk away, but getting back uphill was a killer. There’s no avoiding that climb!
