Borgo Le Terrazze

If being downtown is a priority, this may not be the right spot. The hotel is about 15 minutes by car or a 40-minute walk from the center, but it offers sweeping views, lovely rooms, and friendly staff. Our room’s wraparound terrace was a perfect place to read and unwind. There’s included breakfast, a paid shuttle to downtown Bellagio, a small bar serving meals, parking, and a pool. We came by train to Lecco and took a taxi. It was pricey, but train issues made it easier than taking the bus with our luggage. Highly recommend!

The owner was my favorite part of the hotel. She was so sweet and made us feel right at home, as did the professional, helpful staff, who shared everything we needed to enjoy both the hotel and nearby Bellagio. And the Lake Como view from the property was absolutely beautiful.

We ended up enjoying time at the hotel more than going out, since everything there was so good and the views were easily the best in Bellagio. The breakfast and bistro food were both really good, and the pool was perfect after a long travel day. San Giovanni was easy to reach by the stone path and stairs, and the hotel shuttle got us to Bellagio quickly. The location and views were phenomenal, the staff were kind and always reachable on Whatsapp, and our room was comfortable, with water replenished daily and complimentary wine when we arrived. I couldn’t be happier with our stay. 10/10 ⭐ I hope to come back someday.

The room was very clean, the view was stunning, and the shuttle into town was always on time and easy to use. The staff were friendly, helpful, and treated us with elegant Italian hospitality. When we ran into a problem with our rental, they kindly offered to translate and help. We’re wrapping up our Italian trip at Lake Como, and this magnificent property overlooking Bellagio and the lake made our stay five stars.
