Hotel Acapulco

After 52 years of visiting Bellaria, I'm so glad I booked these three days at the hotel, just three weeks ahead. Catia, Filna, and Tiziana made me feel completely at home, and I had a lovely stay. The place was incredibly clean, and breakfast offered plenty of variety and good-quality food. My room was simple but had everything I needed. Even though I was travelling alone, it had a comfortable double bed with one double mattress, which isn't something every hotel provides when they put two single beds together. And the beach is only four steps away. If I come back to Bellaria next year, I know where I'll stay!

A peaceful place to get some rest, away from traffic and those enormous coffee machines that start waking you at four in the morning for the garbage collection, something you learn about from your first day in Romagna. This guesthouse is practically on the seafront and has only two stars, though it deserves five. Whatever it may lack, the owners' boundless kindness makes up for it. Give a place like this a try sometime. Having less can turn out to be a pleasant surprise.

You won't be missing anything here, but it's Filna and Katia who really make the holiday so great. Those two girls are fantastic... Elisa.
