Hotel Continental

I was there in June for the Rimini fitness fair and had a great stay. The room was quiet, the staff friendly, and the breakfast buffet was especially impressive. I highly recommend it.

The best part of the room was its large, airy terrace. The hotel is across the street from the beach and well placed for the town center. Breakfast was varied and good, and the staff were friendly. We stayed 11 days in August, though I won’t be coming back because the hotel doesn’t meet my standards, and I’m not picky at all. As a B&B, it didn’t seem to offer any amenities beyond breakfast. The WiFi didn’t work from our first-floor room, so we used the connection at Spiaggia 52 across the street. The room was always dirty, with sand and other bits left around. The beds were only minimally made, and the bunk bed was made once, then left untouched for the rest of our stay. The place needs updating, especially the terrace rooms and their bathrooms. The shower is built in with the toilet and bidet, a setup that shouldn’t have been around even in the 1970s. We paid to bring our poodle, but there weren’t any amenities for him. Spiaggia 52 (Saraghina), right in front of the hotel, was exceptional: kind, organized, and full of the right spirit to help you forget your built-up stress. TOP!

The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, and in summer it’s a real shame there’s no small fridge. The bathroom was the worst part: without a shower curtain, water covered the whole floor, and there was no window or extractor fan. At least it had electric shutters, apparently! Breakfast was decent. We were there for two nights and only slept at the hotel, which was enough for me to say NEVER AGAIN. I can’t comment on the meals.

We’ve stayed at the Continental twice now and will definitely return. It’s in a great spot, with excellent service and a top-notch breakfast.
