Hotel Derby

Luana was so kind and understanding. She put guests at ease and was quick to sort out even the smallest problem. The area is very quiet, breakfast is a huge homemade spread, and everyone is friendly and smiling.

The room wasn’t very nice and the food was only average, but the service was really friendly.

We loved the family feel here. The owners and staff were so warm and attentive that we felt welcome straight away. Breakfast had a great range of tasty options, and dinner was a highlight too, with some homemade dishes presented with real care. The beach and shops are both an easy walk away. Our room was spotless and well kept, especially the large bathroom with its roomy shower. We also enjoyed relaxing on the cozy balcony. Thank you for such lovely hospitality. We’d happily come back! My children are still asking to come back next summer, months after our July stay at Hotel Derby. Luana and her staff were wonderful with us and made sure the kids had everything they needed, even though it isn’t a family hotel. It’s a small, historic family-run place, but it’s well maintained. There’s an indoor dining room as well as a tidy garden with plants and turtles, where you can eat lunch or dinner. We chose all-inclusive, which was very good value, and the hotel also has a deal with the beach resort for attractive discounts. The location works well for an evening walk through Bellaria or a stroll to the sea. The food wasn’t fancy, but it was made with fresh ingredients and there was plenty of it. I’d only suggest better mosquito control in the garden, where they’re understandably abundant among all the plants, and a bit more variety in the breakfast sweets. If you want a quiet place and value friendly people over extra luxury, go for it.
