Hotel Doria

We were in town for a wedding and stayed for two nights. The hotel was very well kept, and all six rooms we booked were new and spotlessly clean. Breakfast had a really wide range of both sweet and savory items. We couldn’t try the restaurant because it’s currently closed. There’s also an all-inclusive option in summer. I had a great stay and am thinking of booking that for next summer. Thanks, it’s always a pleasure to come to Romagna!

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel was clean and well located. The rooms are simple but fine. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, though the smell in the evening was very tempting. There’s a small parking area to the side, and the bar has a lovely feel for a drink and a chat. They also have events on some weekends.

We stayed from September 8th to September 12th. There was a problem with our room when we arrived, but it was fixed quickly. The room and private bathroom were spotless and tidy, and the bathroom had everything we needed to wash and dry ourselves. Everyone, from reception and the dining room to the cleaning staff, was wonderful and helpful. We had half-board. Breakfast was an exceptional buffet with plenty of sweet and savory options. Dinner had themed nights and was plentiful overall, though some dishes could be better. The buffet sides offered lots of choice for different tastes. For a two-star hotel, we found nothing missing. Room upkeep could be a little more careful, but I could see they’re making improvements. I’d give it a solid 9.5, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended.

The hotel has real potential, unlike anywhere else in Igea, which makes the problems all the more disappointing. I stayed during the first week of last month. The welcome was poor, and I had to insist to get the room I’d booked with a furnished balcony and sea view. Only the third room they showed me partly matched what we’d agreed on when booking. Breakfast was the same poor-quality food every day from Monday to Sunday. There weren’t many guests, I know, but I still wouldn’t eat a tart at home that had been opened Monday and was still being served on Sunday. The room, bathroom, and balcony also needed cleaning and maintenance. The bulb in my room went out on Thursday and still hadn’t been replaced by Sunday. I’d decided not to leave a review, but then I got two calls from the hotel’s numbers on my cell phone. I called back to ask why. They told me, “I didn’t call you, let’s not play with our phones!” So at this point, you’ve asked for a negative review.
