Hotel Lungomare

There was very little food, and the quality was terrible. The fish was all frozen, sometimes still mushy when served or dry from being reheated several times. The buffet seemed to reuse food from earlier meals, including dishes reheated after several days. The first courses always tasted of seafood, but I suspect they used fish-flavored stock cubes, because there was no seafood in the pasta. Water came from a tap, but only in half-liter jugs, so people had to queue again and again during the meal. Nothing about the place felt Romagna-esque. The waitresses were foreign but kind, while the welcome was really disappointing.

The booking experience was disappointing and unprofessional. We came in at 2:00 PM to ask for a quote for two rooms and received one. When we tried calling at 4:00 PM to confirm, nobody answered. We went back at 6:00 PM and waited at reception without getting help. After calling again, we were told the rooms were no longer available.

The only real plus was being right by the beach. The rooms were tiny, and lunch and dinner were meager and not good. The room cleaning wasn't great either: I came back from the beach at 11:30 and my first-floor room still hadn't been cleaned. The price for a five-day stay was far too high, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

We came back to Lungomare Hotel after a few years for the June 2nd long weekend, and it was lovely again. This time we got a seafront room, so seeing the sunrise from bed was priceless. The hotel sits right by the sea, and the beach, included with the stay, is just across the seafront road. The welcome was warm, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy, and the food was varied and tasty. Staff were attentive and helpful. We'll be back, see you soon!
