The owners, a family, were very unfriendly when I gave open feedback. The hotel itself is old and rundown, and the bed blankets look like they’re from another century. The food was disgusting and inedible. Italy is known for simple, great food, but not this place. I’ve never seen pasta and vegetables so overcooked, and the meat and fish were no better. The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

The room had 1980s decor and was small for a standard room. The bathroom door handle came off, the lighting didn’t work properly, and the shower door was faulty. The spa costs 20 euros per person, which wasn’t clear on the website. Staff weren’t especially polite, made no eye contact, and sounded annoyed. At the coffee shop they tease you for having a cappuccino in the afternoon, or tell you off if they see you eating or drinking anything bought elsewhere. On the plus side, the hotel is well located near the beach and restaurants, and San Marino is just an hour’s drive away. It was very clean, the cleaning staff were friendly, the AC worked well, the shower was good, and there was a nice beach view. Breakfast was okay.

The staff were really kind and helpful, and our room was very clean with a lovely beach view from the balcony. We booked just two nights and definitely regretted not staying longer. I’d give them a solid 12/10!
