Locazione turistica Nulla di Troppo

The hotel staff were friendly, and the pool was great. We chose the place partly because Expedia showed a shuttle, and the hotel confirmed by WhatsApp in July that one would be available for our first week of September stay. When we checked again to book it, we were told the shuttle had “finished”; a couple of taxis were running each day for guests instead. That worked for us, but the last ride back was at 7pm, so we couldn't spend an evening in Sorrento and get back using the hotel transport. A 20-minute taxi ride costs more than I expected: about 60-70 Euros from the hotel to Sorrento, and 50-60 Euros on the way back. The nearby little town is handy for drinks, gelato, and good pizza. We only had breakfast at the hotel, so I can't comment on the restaurant. Breakfast was a good continental spread, with meats, cooked items, toast, fruit, and baked goods. I was really happy with our clean, basic room. It had what we needed and a nice mountain view.

The hotel feels closer to three stars than four, especially with the disappointing facilities and breakfast. The coffee was terrible and there wasn't much choice. We stayed two nights, and the decor looks very dated, as if little has been updated in decades.

Candida was always ready to help with a smile, and the other staff were wonderful too. The rooms are nice and clean, and I really like staying at O Sole Mio. I've been twice and will come back. It's a lovely place in a fun town that isn't too crowded, and it made a perfect base for visiting the Amalfi Coast. Grazie mille ❤️

The location works well as a base for sightseeing, with a little village nearby for dinner. If breakfast included is what you're after, the hotel may suit you. We ate out three nights to find decent food. Shout out to da mimi, they do great food, and also the beautiful cafe. The hotel's food didn't feel up to four-star standard, and the dishes we got looked nothing like the pictures online. The outdoor area was neglected and lacked colour; I can only guess the website photos were taken a while ago. Inside, the decor is tasteful, the rooms spotless and comfortable, and most of the staff were pleasant. On our first night, though, my request for an extra tea bag and some milk didn't go down well. We ended up buying milk in the village and taking tea bags from breakfast. I've never stayed at a four-star place that provided no milk and just one English tea bag in the room.
