The rooms are modern and nice, and the restaurant is good. Breakfast was decent too. But this is mainly a restaurant and bar that also has a hotel, so if you need help during the night after dinner service, it’s the restaurant staff who have to step away to assist. They’re lovely and do their best, but that’s how it works. Room temperature is controlled strictly by the front desk. My room, the Pink Floyd Suite, was 26°C (79°F). I went to the desk several times, and they tried to lower it through the control screen. After two hours and several attempts, I moved to another room. They had lowered the temperature before I switched, but it made no difference. I slept with the windows wide open for all five nights and got covered in mosquito bites. Reserve a place in the underground garage by email in advance, or you’ll have to look for parking around the square. One note for the hotel: don’t print the room name on the key cards. If someone loses a key card, it tells them exactly which hotel and room it opens.

The entrance to the hotel is a little odd, but the room was great and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was included, with eggs and bacon made to order. The scrambled eggs might have been some of the best I’ve ever had.

We booked the spa, and it was very nice and clean. The ice cream shop next door is worth checking out too. Parking costs €10 a day and is a bit inconvenient, with four escalators between the lot and the hotel. The hotel itself was very nice.

It’s a very central hotel and the place itself is quite nice, but it was the noisiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms look out over the rooftop bar below, which belongs to the same owner. Its speakers are incredibly loud, and you can feel the bass in the rooms. I don’t understand why hotel rooms would overlook the bar with such huge speakers installed. If you’re in the mood to party or plan to stay up late, it might suit you, since the music stops around midnight.

The view was magnificent, and the DJ music afterward was perfect. We had dinner with a large group, arranged by someone who comes here often, so we expected good service. The food was okay, but the service was terrible. We waited a long time and had to remind them several times before our drinks and food arrived.
