EcoBelmonte Albergo Diffuso

The apartment had a lovely feel to it, with a little garden, and was a good fit for three people. We had a delicious dinner of four traditional dishes, and the cooking and baking course we took was fun and tasty. We’ll definitely come back. We spent a wonderful week here. Breakfast on the balcony was a treat, with local specialties and a breathtaking sea view. Our host was incredibly friendly and helpful, shared stories about life in Belmonte, gave us great activity tips and knew the area well.

The area is peaceful and beautiful, and there’s a small shop on site selling local products. We had a lovely week at EcoBelmonte Albergo. The cottages are cozy, well cared for and fit naturally into the surroundings, with stunning views of the nearby peaks. Our host was warm, kind and attentive. I highly recommend it and will definitely return! ❤️

We meant to stay three days and stayed eight instead. The setting is charming and authentic, and the sea is close by. It’s beautiful Calabria, with very few tourists. Gabriella and Gianfranco are wonderful hosts, and it’s hard not to fall for both them and the place. We still miss the village, the calm and the people. We’ll be back. These are the kind of moments you remember, and you can discover for yourself the story of a couple who returned to their hometown to build an authentic, sustainable retreat. They restored the old houses themselves with natural, ecological materials and respect for their history. The beams, antique doors, windows, balconies and terraces all have a story, while the kitchens and spotless bathrooms bring modern comfort. Gabriella is a fantastic cook. Dinners were romantic, generous and full of flavor, with excellent salt, olive oil, herbs, meat, fish and delicious fruit. The wines were perfect, too. Breakfast was just as special, with homemade jams and cakes, and outstanding coffee, rich and smooth. Finding a little paradise always leaves you torn between keeping it to yourself and telling others. EcoBelmonte is one of those rare, magical, peaceful places. This is the longest review I’ve ever written on Google, and I could say much more about how much we loved it. We’ll leave the rest for anyone lucky enough to choose a holiday here in Calabria.

My friend and I wanted somewhere quiet and authentic, with a beach nearby, and EcoBelmonte turned out to be just right. The village is lovely and the people are friendly. We had coffee in the village each morning and got to know some locals, then headed down to la Marina for the beach or went to local markets to cook at home. The whole region is lovely, and the view here is breathtaking. Every morning felt like a gift. We also enjoyed the excellent cooking on EcoBelmonte’s terrace. Gabriella was helpful, available and full of useful insight whenever we needed her. I’d strongly recommend this place for some real quality time.
