The beach is nearby, but that was the only real plus for us. Getting into the room took two hours of calls and emails because nobody could be reached when we arrived. Once inside, we had to haul our bags up three flights with no elevator and no help. The room was reasonably clean, but noise carried through the walls, even the neighbor's shower, and the TV couldn't be heard. The doors are ordinary apartment-style doors with an "AGB" key, so security felt nonexistent. There was also an uncovered switch with exposed wires in the shower. Water pressure and temperature kept changing, and the shower never got properly hot, especially overnight. And the advertised pool? There isn't one. I'd skip it.

The shower was the biggest problem: the water stayed cold and the pressure was so weak that washing was difficult. There was also an uncovered outlet with visible wires right above it. The outlet for the TV was loose from the wall too, with wires you could see and touch. The bathroom had no bidet and nowhere to put soap in the shower. These are basic comfort and safety issues, and they made the stay a negative experience. Sorry, but this place's apparent luxury didn't match the reality.

We enjoyed our stay, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, and the suite had a whirlpool tub. The place also gives guests a lot of freedom. The sea and promenade are about 100 meters away, with restaurants and other attractions nearby. The water is beautiful, though the shore is rocky. The B&B is on the third floor of a clean, tasteful old palace, and getting there means climbing 45 marble steps and 16 wooden ones. There is no elevator, which was especially hard for an older person. The pool mentioned in the listing is about a kilometer away. Breakfast comes from a nearby bar, as at many B&Bs. The food is excellent, but the voucher doesn't say what it covers, and ordering a croissant, juice, and coffee led to a charge for one of those items. During our visit, Wi-Fi was being repaired, and using the kitchen or washing machine cost extra. Apart from those manageable issues, it was a pleasant stay.
